CU Shot
To understand the response/emotions of characters

Put the audience in the position of the characters - identify with the perspective of the characters

Allows the audience to have chemistry and dynamic while focusing on the facial expressions of just one of the characters.

Canted Angle Shot
Camera is horizontal; suggests distortion, chaos and confusion, disorder, drunkeness

Crane Shot
Filmed on a crane. Allows the audience to capture different perspectives. Can be used to represent loneliness.

Going from a POV shot to a CU shot. It closes in on specific details.

Deep focus
Depth of feel that allows you to see the background.

Shallow focus
Focuses on the foreground and can be used to suggest someone's state of mind - they are closed in on something

Focus Pull
No need to cut when changing the focus of the scene. Simply, blurs out a person at the the front to focus on the person at the back.

A sound or track of music that is associated with a particular scene or character.

Tracking Shot

Pan
The camera changes angles but the base is the same.
