Advantages and disadvantages to goal setting?
Disadvantages: some athletes feel it is boring, time-consuming and this can deter them from doing it. Advantages: Research has shown that goal setting is incredibly effective and can have a dramatic and positive effect on performance.

I want to be able to run 100m further in my cooper test (specific), 100m (measurable), after 6 weeks training (achievable), I have the facilities (realistic) 6 weeks (time-bound).
