Health and safety at work act 1974
This act ensures that every work place needs a safe working environment, Safe equipment being used, Safe access into the building and safe systems. All employees must be co-operative and follow rules without being dangerous.

Control of substances hazardous to health (Chemicals) they have to be stored in a locked cupboard away from and customers or untrained employees, only for trained staff use. Lable the products and record the use of them.

Report accidents, Death and major injury. Loss time injury. Reportable diseases. Serious but no one was hurt.

PUWER Provision and use of work equipment regulations
Check equipment is safe and working regularly, if broken fix as quickly as possible.

PPE Personal protective equipment
Give people whob require it the correct equipment for the activity they are doing. i.e. Hard hats and high visibilty jackets for builders.

Display screen equipment regs
Take breaks ( e.g. 15 minutes per hours) from looking at screens. Have eye checks.

Childrens act
Have to be DBS checked to see any criminal records. Correct ratio of adults to children under 8s = 1:8. Make sure equipment checked well.

Data protection act
Data must be secured with passwords and removed when the customer is no longer in association with the business. cant pass information on to any other businesses without permition.

Working time regulations
Allowed to work 48 hours a week
