5. What is plucking?
- When the pressure of a glacier causes ice to melt and freeze onto the bottom of the glacier, pulling the rock face and collecting rock pieces in the bottom.
- Rocks removed from abrasion are carried by the glacier and erode the valley sides and bottom causing more rocks to be broken off.
- When water gets into cracks in a rock and breaks it down.
