When analysing for a poster, what would you consider?
You would need to consider the main points and the use of stylistic codes that are being used on the poster, for example: Colour, font, text, image and etc.

What is the meaning of 'Connotations'?
Connotations means anybody can have a deeper meaning which shows people's reactions, for example: Happy and sad.

What is the meaning of 'Denotations'?
Denotations means that is a surface meaning and it's a obvious meaning, for example: A table is a table, a chair is chair. This can be set for something.

Why would you use lots of different colours to explain as a meaning?
This is because colours use different meanings, for example: White means neutral and black means death.

What are the five elements of Mise-en-scene?
Costumes & Props, Positioning (in all-in-one shot), Setting and location, Music and sound & Lighting.

Why do you think Mise-en-scene is important?
Mise-en-scene can be really important to remember, this is to help to diguish the genre and it helps the audience and learn more about characters. Mise-en-scene also helps to create more of a authentic setting.

What are the three main types of lighting?
Low lighting, high lighting, back lighting (Sing this to remember fully in to your head)

What is low key lighting?
Low Key is created by using only the key & back lights. It produces sharp contrasts of light and dark areas. Deep, distinct shadows/silhouettes are formed. This is also only being used in certain genres.

What is high key lighting?
High key is created to show more filler lights that are used. Lighting is a natural and realistic to our eyes. Produces brightly lit set or a sunny day. Again, this is only used in certain genres.

What is Juxtaposition?
Juxtaposition which shows two objects placed next to each other in a scene, we assume a connection between them or it emphaises the different between them.

What is Rule of thirds?
Rule of thirds is a composition of text, through positioning objects carefully, the meaning is created. Rule of thirds creates a single shot in to six different frames.

What is Composition of text?
Composition of text shows when anyone points a camera, this shows that they have control over the decision whenether if they want the audience to see or don't see that specific shot.

What is the main purposes of Composition of text?
The main purposes of Composition is when they choose to highlight certain elements and play down the others. Composition also includes when looking to where objects, characters and even lighting are positioned correctly in to scene.
