Muslim and Christian attitudes towards bullying

Muslim attitudes to bullying:

• The Qur’an teaches that everyone was created by Allah and that everyone is equal.

• Muhammad taught everyone is equal and no one must be taunted for a different appearance as they have still been created by Allah.

• The Qu’ran teaches bullying is a form of injustice and injustice is wrong in the Islam.

• Muslims are taught to show compassion towards the weak and suffering; like towards bully victims.

• “The brotherhood of Ummah” Every muslim is a brother to another; you wouldn’t bully your brother so why should you bully anyone else?

• Allah will judge muslims on judgement day, and this will include the way they lived their lives and if they committed any acts of injustice; it will determine whether or not they get into heaven.

• Allah created all people equally and at the same time so no person has superiority over another.

• Muslims support anti-bullying charities such as “Kidscape”, “Beatbullying”

• Muslims are taught to fight injustice around the world including bullying.

• The Qu’ran teaches that everyone should be treated with respect as a part of Allah’s creation.
