• people use instant messaging to communicate on sites such as live messenger
• video conferencing and voice over internet used ot communicate on sites like skype
• increasing use of ICT can have negative effects on health of children causing problems with development in the brain in areas like reading, lack of exersise, issue of radio waves from mobile phones damaging children's brains as a childs skullisn't fully developed to stop these radio waves
• stress increased by ICT communication as mobile phones have internet and email so people are constantly recieving messages that they feel they need to reply too. also, employees recieve work via phone so they feel they have to work when at home
