Emotional and Social Development in Infants

Emotional: Babies enter the world with an inbuilt ability to recognise and react to basic feelings in other people. They use this ability to attract attention and build emotioanl attatchments with parents and carers.

Ist Year: recognise and react to emotional expressions of happiness, distress, anger and be guided by emotions shown by parents and carers. They do not have a sense of being an individual.
