Types of Energy
Non-renewable: These are finite resources which have built up over millions of years. They are also called stock/capital resources
Renewable: Also called income, flow or infinite resources these are resources that are sustainable. There are two sub-categories:
- Critical: Require careful management and use must not outweigh replenishment (eg biomass and fuelwood)
- Non-critical: Everlasting resources (solar, wind and hydroelectric)
