Ulcerative colitis is a superficial inflammation of the large intestine, not caused by bacteria, which rsults in ulceration and bleeding.

Stress, emotional upset, intolerance to certain foods, infection and bacteria in the gut

Abdominal pain, nausea can occur, alteration in bowel habit which can be constipation or diarrhoea, embarrassment and anxiety

What causes crohns disease?
Crohn's disease causes inflammation in the small intestine but it can affect any part of the digestive tract, from the mouth to the anus.
