Local newspapers can promote religion by informing it's readers about events and aspects of religion (e.g. Hajj or the appointment of a new pope) - they can write in a biased way and can cause confusion (e.g. 9/11 - only focused on the extreme parts)

There are many that educate and promote religious views to support and strengthen people's faith - it can be a one-sided view of religion and can lead to prejudice against other religions and non-believers

All shows give different representations of religion, documents are factual and should give unbiased views (e.g. Strictly Kosher shows everyday Jewish life) - soap operas often tackle religious issues, many don't agree with how the issue is tackled

Many religious groups use the internet to their advantage to advertise their views, many charities use the internet to raise awareness of disasters and get help - the internet can also be used to spread bigotry against certain religions and people

There are many stations that target a religious audience and provide religious music and advice - many scular stations can include religious speakers when debating about things like abortion

Often, films with religious characters that are going through hardships make the audience sympathize with them or can educate people - they can also reinforce stereotypes by offering biased portrayals of religion

Young people would be safer from bad behavior (sex, drugs, violence), it is an example of how to act in society, religious values can be enforced

Atheists and other religions might not agree with other religion 'controlling' the media, it takes away freedom of choice, tough censorship might lead to dull/unrealistic media, different religions might not agree with what should be censored
