the extrovert-introvert dimension & stable-neurotic dimension

why do extrverts need more stimulation/arousal and introverts need less to be aroused?
because extroverts' RAS inhibits info recieved via sensory system so it needs extra stimulation to maintain optimum levels of attention and the converse with introverts
