What is Healthwatch?
Is an independent service created by the act, which aims to protect the interests of all those who use helath and social care services. Healthwatch has a role in communicating the views of patients to comissioning bodies and regulators.

Intended to become the guiding principle behind the treatment of patients. Patients will be able to choose their GP, Consultant, treatment,hospital or other health service

Gp-led bodies will comission most health services including: Primary care services (Gps, dentists and pharmacies), Secondary care services (those provided by hospitals).
