Why would people believe in afterlives?

Some people think there's plenty of evidence to prove there is an afterlife:

• seeing is believing - if a person has experienced a presence then they could believe in afterlives
• ghost experiences - as we know, a ghost is a spirit so shows it's still living so this could make the person believe
• near-death experience - common features: • leave body an look over it • in a tunnel • light at the end • drawn towards it • still have importance on earth so are drawn backwards
• pastlives - people can remember that shaping they're currently living in an afterlife
• there's no proof against it - showing it still could be true
• spiritualists channelling the dead - the spirits…
