  • Specificity- relevent and appropriate for the individual 
  • Progression- gradually increase over time to ensure improvements
  • Overload- above the comfort zone to force adaptation
  • Varience- range of exercise reduce boredom
  • Moderation- appropriate for the performer to adapt while maintaing a HBL
  • Reversibility- maintained so gains are not lost
  • Frequency- how many sessions
  • Intensity- how hard the sessions are
  • Time- how long the session are
  • Type- method of training used
