How does the separation of power work?

The Executive:

It is a branch of goverment made up of the prime minister and other ministers, senior civil servants and policy advisors. The Prime Minister exercises significant powers, including appointing ministers, proposing policies, and making decisions on behalf of the government. They put the law into effect. It drafts and then, in the case of the civil service, implements the policy after it has been agreed by the legislature.

The Legislature:
