An organisation that work to prevent suicides are the "Samaritans". The Samaritans was founded by Reverend Chad Varah who, as his first job as a vicar, led the funeral service of a fourteen year old girl who had committed suicide. He was inspired to create Samaritans.

Samaritans provide direct and free telephone access to trained counsellors who will listen and advise on the situation. Their aim is to prevent suicides. They may use teachings such as "God created man in his own image" - Genesis 1. Showing that he chose for the person…
