  • Why did some people support the Nazis?
    • Hitler and the German people's views were similar regarding the treaty of Versailles.
    • Hitler promised the people 'food and bread'
    • The people felt weak. They were intimidated by the Nazi's organization skills.
    • People felt they didn't have the strength or resources to defeat the Nazis
    • People feared the Gestapo
    • Violence on the streets had decreased.
    • Some people liked being under dictator ship and saw Hitler as a strong, focused leader.
    • Great speakers, organisers and leaders were sent to concentration camps and never seen again.
    • People were scared to speak out because of the secret informers.
    • People felt safer under Hitler as he had built up the army and navy.
    • Many people were arrested and beaten to death
