    • Helps us to have a balanced diet
    • Shows us how much of each food group to eat
    • Food Standards Agency (FSA)
    • 1/3 fruit and veg, 1/3 carbs, the rest should be protein and dairy. A small amount should be sugar.
    • Elderly people may suffer under-nutrition, if they lose interest in food or can't cook for themselves
    • Undernutrition can cause health problems- depression, anaemia
