      • I'm going to  use a book to find out how many calories a primary aged child should have, and how many I should include in the packed lunch.

        • The reason I am doing this is so I can find the best dishes possible to make, and find a wide range of healthier alternatives that will still please young children.
          • I'm going to also use a few cook books to find recipes and dishes that I can make, that will fit with my task title.
      • I'm going to use my textbook to find out what the eat well plate is & what the recommended guidelines are and how I can use it to fit in with my overall finished project.
        • The reason I am going to do this is so that I can tell exactly how much of each food group should be in my packed lunch, and If there is anything else I could add into the packed lunch so that I increase the overall healthiness of the packed lunch.

    • Primary Research:
      • I'm going to carry out a survey and see what 10 children between the ages of 8 to 12 have in their packed lunch for 1 week. This will be filled out by parents so I know exactly what is going into them.
        • the reason I am going to do this is so that I can see exactly what parents are including in their childrens packed lunches, and see what is popular in a variety of packed lunches and if there is any possibility I could make a healthier version of these foods.l
      • I am going to go into a local primary school and talk to 2 boys and 2 girls about what they would like to have in their packed lunch
        • the reason I am going to do this is so that I can see what children want, and see if I can meet there wishes within reason so that they have a strong appeal to my final packed lunch project.
