Authority

Right or power over others. The Bible is a source of authority to Christians as it is the Word of God.

Duty

Something you do because it is the accepted pattern or behaviour. It is a Muslim's duty to pray 5 times a day to get closer to God.

Justice

Where everyone has equal provisions and opportunity. Jesus came to earth to bring justice and peace.

Personal Conviction

Something a person feels strongly about or believes in. Jesus strongly believed in doing what is right.

Punishment

A penalty given to someone for a crime or wrong they have done. God punished Adam and Eve for disobeying Him.

Capital Punishment

A death penalty for a crime or punishment. Some Christians believe only God can give or take life.

Shari'ah Law

a code of law based on the teachings of the Qur'an which is the word of Allah and the practice of the prophet Muhammed, who is His Messenger.

an inner feeling of the rightness or wrongness of action. Religious believers say God guides their conscience to do the right thing.

Answers to difficult personal questions about right and wrong behaviour. Theists use their Holy Books to help them make moral decisions as it is the Word of God.

The belief that the scriptures were directly inspired by God and can reveal the truth to those who read them.

A book that contains the words directly handed down to humans by God/Allah.

Madrassah

The school at the mosque where children learn to read the Qur'an and are educated in their education.

Hadith

Sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammed which help Muslims understand how to put the words of the Qur'an, the Word of God,to practice.
