it reviews the findings and compares them to existing research. it also assesses the overall quality of the study and suggests what research could be done next.

What two things does the introduction contain?
it should review existing research in the area of interest and provide a clear RATIONALE for the work to be undertaken.

What does the method inlcude?
precise details are given about the procedure including the design, ppts, apparatus and procedure.

What does the references include?
all the sources that the researcher used to inform the report must be cited in this section.

What does the results section include?
the appropriate descriptive and inferential statistics based on the study. usually displayed as figures or tables.

What is the abstract?
it provides a clear and concise account of the whole investigation (blurb).
