omnicient narrator
This is when the narrator knows everything. For e.g. Susie knowing that her mother had an affair with Len Fernaman

Finding a nicer way to say something. For e.g. saying that someone fat is "on the bigger side"

Making something sound worse than it actually is. For e.g. Metal Hospital would be "loony bin"
