Define data and give an example
Recorded facts and figures, raw data without context. E.g. 5, 12, 1990 are numbers without meaning

Data that has been processed and given context, it is meaningful because it is interpreted data. E.g. the numbers 5, 12 and 1990 make up a data of birth (5th Dec 1990)

Garbage In, Garbage Out. The quality of output is determined by the quality of the input

A specific type of data entry error that is commonly made by human operators
