LIFE OF MUHAMMAD 

Early Life: Muhammad was born in Mecca (Arabia) in the year 570.  Born into the ruling tribe of Quraish. His mother Aminah was very poor so she handed him to the Bedouins to nurture him. Muhammad was an orphan at the age of 6 years old. His father Abdullah died before he was born and his mother Aminah died when he was 6 years of age. His uncle Abu Talib who was a trader took care of him. Muhammad was a merchant in Arabia who later married Khadija at the age of 20. Muhammad was a very philosophical man as he grew up questioning Polytheism. In the years of 620AD he lost khadija and Abu Talib to death.  

Marriage to Khadija: He met her at the age of 20 years. Khadija was a business woman who was much older than the Prophet. She was the one to ask him for marriage. They were married for 24 years. Muhammad never stopped her from working and gave her rights to work. He never got in the way of her business.  They had 4 children together. Muhammad would take his wife to the mountains to pray.
