  • most densely populated country with 180 million people 
  • Mega Delta - 53 rivers emptying into Bay of Bengal 
  • Annual monsoon - snow melts

Causes

  • More violent monsoon due to global warming caused more snow to melt and ground to become saturated. 
  • Urbanisation caused surface run off.
  • Deforestation stopped interception allowing water to make it to river
