- Insects have open circulatory system.
- Humans have closed circulatory systems.
Thrombosis - when blood clots abnormally inside undamaged blood vessels.
Anticoagulant drugs can be used to reduce blood clotting, ie. warafin, aspirin.
Haemophillia - inherited disease - blood fails to clot due to a faulty clotting protein.
Gas exchange must be carried out to release energy from by food by aerobic respiration.
Sweating:
- excess water and salt are excreted from sweat glands onto the surface of the skin. - The water is then evaporated , which cools our skin down.
Oestrogen is released by the ripening egg which stimulates the uterus lining to thicken and also stimulates the release of LH.
