Ecology and Grouping Organisms

Living organisms are classified into two main groups; plant kingdom and animal kingdom.

Animal kingdom is then sorted into vertebrates and in vertebrates.

vertebrates are animal with backbones.

invertebrates are animal without backbones.

vertebrates are sorted into five groups; Mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians, Birds and Fish

The bionomial system is used to name individual species.

Some organisms can be difficult to classify (e.g. Euglena, fungi)
