- It is illegal to give an alcoholic drink to a child under 5
- Children under 16 can go anywhere in a pub as long as supervisedby an adult but can't drink alcohol
- 16 or 17 can drink beer, wine or cider with a meal with adults
- It's against the law for anyone under 18 to buy alcohol
- Tobacco
- It is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under 18
- All adverts for tobacco are banned and tobacco companies are not allowed to sponsor events
- All tobacco packs must have large, hard-hitting health warnings and are not allowed to to use terms such as light.
- You can be prosecutedfor smoking while driving
- You can be given a £50 fine for dropping a cigarette end
