    • Three Concerns to think about
      • Millions were dead or injured. Countries devestated. Too much money had been spent on war.
      • Wanted Germany to talk all the blame, mainly Britain and France. Germany not allowed in Peace Talks.
      • Make sure no future war, but they couldn't agree on how to do this.
    • The Big Three
      • France, Georges Clemenceau (Prime Minister) - wanted harsh punishments
      • Britain,  David Lloyd George (Prime Minister), wanted modereate punishments so they could continue to trade.
      • USA, Woodrow Wilson (President), wanted to generous so there was little risk of future war.
        • The USA has suffered the least, so wanted to stay impartial!
          • Britain,  David Lloyd George (Prime Minister), wanted modereate punishments so they could continue to trade.
          • France, Georges Clemenceau (Prime Minister) - wanted harsh punishments
    • Woodrow Wilson's 14 Points
      • Created in Jan 1918
      • Germany rejected them initally but then wanted the Peace Settlement based on them
      • The Allies refused them because Germany had
      • The 14 Points were the reason the League of Nations was created!
    • World War One
      • 1914- 1918
      • The Allies (Britain, France and America) won.
      • Fighting ends Nov 11th 1918
      • Then they had to agree a Peace Treaty with the losers- Germany included.
