        • Meriam Report of 1928 vigorously condemned the allotment policy for depriving NAs of their lands and failing to provide them with additional support to achieve economic security
          • However, no action occured to address the issue of allotted lands
          • Also addressed that land set apart for Indians in allotment process was usually of little value for agricultural operations other than grazing
