        • 7th: Jan 1504- Apr 1504
      • Only the King could call parliament
      • First 2 parliaments passed numerous Acts of Attainder.
      • 1st Parliament granted tonnage and poundage for life
      • Operated effectively

      • Created by Star Chamber Act in 1487
      • Responsible for prosecuting anyone who: Behaved in a rebellious manner.         A lawless manner.
      • Henry made little use of them.
      • More developed under Wolsey.
    • Privy Council
      • Group of advisers.
      • Nobility, Church, Lawyers and royal household officers.
      • Central administrative body.
      • Dealing with grievances from individuals.
      • 40 or 50 people.
        • Attendance at meetings were lower.
