- Anton Drexler had a party: German Workers Party.
- Hitler joined in 1920 as he agreed with the party saying they wanted to get rid of the Treaty Of Versailles.
- Hitler soon became its leader and renamed it: National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP/Nazi Party)
- Gave the party a new flag and a new private army for protection: the SA/Brownshirt
- The party was small an met in beer houses.
- Began to attract attention due to Hitler's powerful speeches, mainly his rants against the treaty.
- The SA would beat up any opponents or threat, mainly the communists.
