- Catholics confess their sins to a Priest and have them forgiven, they are then reconciled with God
- Christians try to forgive people no matter what
- 'Forgive us out debts as we also forgive out debtors' this has led people to believe that our forgiveness by God is dependent on our willingness to forgive others
- Jesus went on to add: 'For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins
- There is nothing you can do that God will not forgive you for if you are truly sorry.

- Christians believe that sin (and death) entered the world because Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge

- Forgiveness means accepting an apology from someone who has done wrong to you
- Reconciliation means bringing together and forgetting differences
