    • Globalisation ensures that all people, in all countries benefit from wider PROSPERITY & OPPORTUNITIES that can only be brought by CAPITALISM
      • This is argued by NEOLIBERALS, who believe that globalisation is the ONLY RELIABLE way to GENERATE WEALTH
        • They also argue it is the SUREST GUARANTEE of PROSPERITTY & ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY
    • RICH get RICHER & the POOR get RICHER
      • This is because INTERNATIONAL TRADE allows all countries to SPECIALISE in the PRODUCTION of GOODS or SERVICES
        • This increases EXPORTATION & SOCIAL MOBILITY
          • This is because people are able to take ADVANTAGE of WIDER WORKING, CAREER & EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

      • This has expanded the capabilities of the state
      • International organisations has enabled this- which has occurred especially since globalisation
        • This has expanded the capabilities of the state
        • E.g. The EU
          • The EU is able to EXERT INFLUENCE in a GLOBALISED WORLD, than the member states could do independently, due to trade etc.
    • DEMOCRATISATION
      • Democratisation & economic globalisation have COINCIDED since the 1990s
        • This is where people demand greater opportunities for political participation, due to having wider economic & social opportunities
          • E.g. The ARAB SPRING 2011-spread of democracy-cultural globalisation-media
            • WESTERNISATION- UK/USA have EXPANDED opportunities due to economic globalisation & democracy
          • CONTRAST: N.KOREA
            • UNDEMOCRATIC as it has CLOSE-MINDED ECONOMY & SINGLE PARTY
      • 'Democratic peace thesis'- where 'ZONES OF PEACE' have emerged, in which military conflict has become UNTHINKABLE
