Types and roles of enzymes (RESPIRATION)

?
What is the function of an enzyme?
An enzyme is a biological catalyst that increases the rate of a reaction by creating a bonding site for reactants to bond, react and be released on it's active site.

What is the role of oxidoreductase enzymes?
To preform OXIDATION and REDUCTION reactions (e.g. hydrogenation)
3 of 6
What is the role of hydrolase enzymes?
To aid in the addition or removal of WATER
4 of 6
What is the role of isomerase enzymes?
Catalyse the transfer of atoms from ONE PART of a molecule TO ANOTHER
