Newborn
lies with heads turned to one side and with knees drawn up under abdomen. by 1 month legs not drawn up as much and starts to lift head

lies with legs straight and can raise head and shoulders off ground using forearms

6 months
uses straight arms to lift head. by 5 months baby usually able to roll from front to back and another month from back to front- easily roll of bed

9 months
can now move over the floor by pushing or pulling with hands or rolling

1 year
crawls rapidly on hand and knees/ feet. or shuffles on bum. most children crawl then walk however some miss out crawling
