What happens when your blood glucose level goes up?
Pancreas detects this and releases insulin. Glycogen converted from glucose for storage in liver/muscle. Glucose moves from blood to cells.

Your pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin (if any).

Your cells do not respond to insulin though you pancreas still makes it.
