Where one tries to be truthful and does not give information that is false or that is not supported by evidence.

Where one tries to be relevant and says things that are pertinent to the discussion.

Deletion
Omitting the final consonant in words e.g. do(g) cu(p)

Substitution
substituting one sound for another (especially the 'harder' sounds that develop later)

Addition
Adding an extra vowel sound to the ends of words creating a CVCV pattern e.g. doggle

Assimilation
Changing one consonant or vowel for another (as in early plosive sounds such as b and d)

Reduplication
Repeating a whole syllable e.g. mama

Deletion of unstressed syllables
Omitting the opening syllable in polysyllabic words e.g. 'nana' for 'banana'

Plosives
Created when the airflow is blocked for a brief time e.g. 'b', 'd', 'g', 'p', 't', 'k'

Fricatives
Are created when the airflow is only partially blocked and air moves through the mouth in a steady stream e.g. 'v', 'th', 'z', '3', 'f', 'th', 's'

Affricates
Created by putting plosives and fricatives together e.g. 'd3' (as in judge)

Nasals
Produced by air moving through the nose e.g. 'm', 'n'

Laterals
created by placing the tongue on the ridge of the teeth and then air moving down the side of the mouth e.g, 'l'

Labelling
Linking words to the objects to which they refer, understanding things can be labelled
