What does reasoning mean?
Beginning with one set of things we know, to a bigger set of things we know, to learn something new.

What is an argument?
A premise, or multiple premises, which lead to a conclusion.

Give the parts of an argument in standard form.
Premises (P.1, P.1 etc) , an inference line/bar, and the conclusion (C).

What is a proposition?
A statement that is either true or false.

What is an inductive argument?
Where you use previous knowledge/experience to come to a conclusion that can't yet be proven, but is true (using reason).

What is a deductive argument?
Using previous knowledge/experience which is widely accepted as true to come to a true conclusion.

What is consistency?
A property of propositions where the individual propositions do not contradict each other.
