Stanza
A division or unit of a poem that is repeated in the same form.

Line
A horizontal row of written or printed words.

Refrain
A repeated part of a poem, particularly when it comes either at the end of a stanza or between two stanzas.

Enjambment
A run-on line of poetry, in which logical and grammatical sense carries over from one line into the next.

Caesura
A strong pause within a line or verse.

Anaphora
The deliberate repitition of the first part of the sentence for effect.

The marks, such as full stop, commas and brackets, used in writing to separate sentences and their elements and to clarify their meaning.
