Clues

  • A roof or vault formed by an extended arch (6, 5)
  • Design of the facade didn't have to be determined by the supports - it could operate like an abstract painting (4, 6)
  • Large areas of glass - can be used because they are not load bearing (5, 5)
  • Long and horizontal windows with minimum vertical supports (6, 7)
  • Lower part of the entablature (10)
  • Materials shouldn't be disguised. (5, 2, 9)
  • Non load bearing wall. (7, 4)
  • Slab floors of reinforced concrete supported by reinforced concrete pillars. (Like a modern carpark) (6, 6)
  • Smaller posts which form the railing around a stair or balcony (10)
  • The design of the building should follow the same principles that determine the design and form of a machine. (7, 9)
