Presents himself as 'the big guy'. It ultimately powerless-his uncle is in control. His family are also swept up in crime, making it very likely that he too would be.

Powerless. Woman seems to care, wants her job, but cant because she does not have control. Leaders-dont care, easy way out. Arent respected or trusted. Little they can do.

Less revenge more justice. No one else (police) does anything about crime so harry takes it into his own hands. He definitely gets a thrill out of it though.like he's going back to his army days, youth. Feels power.

Gangs have little to do and bad role models does not justify what they do, only makes it slightly more understandable. Gangs clearly force each other to do thing. Needs self defence.

Where do your sympathies lie?
With the general public, dont think what harry did was right but understand it. Police should be able to do more. Dont think people should have to put up with something they are so powerless to.

What does the beginning show about crime?
Introduces hard crime from start. Also introduces idea that crime doesnt always win.

Why is harry brown a surprising character?
He is not anyone special, just a normal elderly citizen who is currently dealing with a lot.

Indictment of society we live in. Dealing with a lot, gangs take everything he has. Uses military experience. Brave. Nothing to loose attitude. No reprucussioms. Shown to be good guy, morsl haze.
