What is the virtue theory?
A theory that dates back to Plato and Aristotle that focuses on how to be a good person rather than actions that are right and wrong. Looks at the qualities and virtues that make a good person

What were the three categories Aristotle divided good into?
1. Things that are good as means ( for the sake of something else e.g help an old lady cross the road) 2. Things which are good as ends (for their own sake only e.g. working hard to get a bonus) 3. Eudaimonia or happiness ( sacrificing like Jesus)

1. Intellectual virtues - developed by training and education 2.

How does Aristotle's approach differ from other ethical theories?
It's not meta-ethical, looking at yourself (whilst divine command theory focuses on God)

Does seem like he does as you have to find the balance

What is the golden mean?
The virtue that can be found between two vices which is perfect e.g courage is the golden mean between cowardice and rashness

No it depends on circumstances, you need to apply practical wisdom to make the right decision
