What is meant by the metabolic rate?
The speed of the chemical reactions which take place in cells.

It slows down your metabolic rate as their fat to muscle proportion is larger.

You are less likely to be obese because you will be building muscle which requires more energy.

1) Obesity --> a result of consuming too many high-fat foods and carbohydrates. 2) Deficiency diseases --> (a lack of vitamins & minerals) such as scurvy --> (causes problems with the skin, joints and gums).
