Diet and Exercise

  • A balanced diet includes everything needed to keep the body healthy.
  • With an unbalanced diet, a person can become malnourished.
  • If you exercise, the body uses more energy. This increases the metabolic rate. This means the chemical reactions work faster.
  • The proportion of muscle to fat in your body and your inherited factors effect the metabolism.
