Why should we controll the sugar concentration in the blood?
It maintains a suitable balance of H2O and sugar between cells and blood. If not, transport is disrupted or cells could lose their fuunction.

When sugar levels are low, it makes body cells increase the absorption of glucose in liver and muscle cells and vise versa.

It causes the glucose to be converted back into glycogen
