What are the advantages of having an extended family?
The advantages of having an extended family are: if both parents of the child are working full time, the additional family members that are living with them, for example, grandparents, will be able to look after the child, which will save money.

What are the disadvantages of having a lone-parent family?
One disadvantage of having a lone-parent family is that they won't be finacially stable because there is only one income coming into their home so, they won't be able to provide for their child/ren that much.

What does a couple need to consider before starting to have a family?
If they're finacially stable, their age, whether they have a good relationship, if they have a good home environment, etc...

What euipment will you need to buy when you're preparing to have a baby?
Pram, dummies, nappies, baby bottles, sterillizers, changing mats, cot, age appropriarte toys, first aid kits, clothes, baby monitors.

How can you prevent accidents from happening?
Picking up stuff from the floor, fire alarms, socket gaurds, not fill water up to high, right temprature water, supervise them at all times, safety mats.

How can you prevent choking?
Make sure that small objects are out of reach, put pillows out of reach, make sure that plastic bags are out of reach.

How can you prevent poisoning?
By having a childlock on all of the cupboards so that children can't reach them.

What are the safety lables?
Kite Mark, Age Label, Lion Mark, CE Mark and Fire Safety.

What does the Kite Mark mean?
The Kite mark confirms that the British Standards Institution has tested a product and found it meets a particular standard.

What does the Age Label mean?
Unsuitable for children under three years because it might, for instance, contain small parts.

What does the Lion Mark mean?
The Lion mark shows that a toy meets British safety standards and adheres to strict advertising and counterfeiting ethics.

What does the CE Mark mean?
Manufacturer's self declaration that its product meets basic EU legal requirements.

What does the Fire Safety symbol mean?
Will not easily catch light from cigarettes or matches.

How would you ensure that children are safe playing outdoors?
Making sure that they're gates, there is equipment that is being put away, that there is no dog poo around, making sure that the child is supervised at all times, etc..

How would you ensure that children are safe playing with toys?
Make sure that they don't put them in their mouths, make sure that they have the correct safety labels on the toys, make sure that the toys are age appropriate.

Make sure that the children aren't left alone, make sure that the dog poo is cleaned up,

Trips, and falls.

Run the scaled/brun under a tap of cold water, put some prevention infection cream on it.
