What is Density?
Density is the mass of unit volume of a substance.
1 of 10
What is the equation for Density?
Density= Mass/Volume P=M/v
2 of 10
What is Conservation of Mass?
When a substance changes state, mass is conserved. This process is reversible
3 of 10
What factors increase temperature?
The mass of liquid heated, the liquid being heated and the energy input to the system
4 of 10
What is latent heat?
Latent heat is the energy needed for a substance to change the state of a substance without the change in substance
5 of 10
What is Specific latent heat?
The amount of energy needed to change the state of 1kg of a substance without the change in temperature
6 of 10
What is the Formula for SLH?
E=ml where E is the change in state, the m is mass and the L is Specific latent heat.
7 of 10
What is specific latent fusion?
The change of state from solid to liquid
8 of 10
What is specific latent vaporisation?
The change of liquid to vapour
9 of 10
What is gas pressure?
The total force exerted by all the molecules inside the container that strike a unit area of the wall.
