What is it? 

• A serious medical condition in which the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off by a blood clot 

Causes

• Ethnicity - asian and african more likely 
• Age - over 65 more likely 
• Family history 
• Medical history

Symptoms

• Loss of vision 
• Paralysis on one side of the body 
• F.A.S.T 
• Face dropped on one side 
• Arms may not be able to be lifted
• Speech may be slurred
• Time to call 999

Physical impacts 

• Muscles on one side of the body are weakened
• Speech becomes difficult 
• May loose the ability to walk
